BJC BigC Thailand Expands Investment Presence in Vietnam

MM Mega Market Vietnam, a key brand under the umbrella of the Thai multinational corporation BJC BigC, has successfully acquired the land use rights for a commercial area project through an auction. The selected site is located southeast of a student dormitory in Hoa Khanh Nam ward, Danang.

This marks a strategic move for the group as it endeavors to expand its distribution centers to a total of 56 stores nationwide by 2028, with a specific focus on hypermarkets and food services.

MM Mega Market (Vietnam) (MM) disclosed that the upcoming project will be developed as a mega-complex, featuring shops, restaurants, cinemas, cafés, and more.

The mega-complex is designed to attain green building certification and adhere to sustainability standards by utilizing eco-friendly construction materials. It will also incorporate water- and energy-saving features.

Following a brand-new model inspired by BigC Thailand, the project aims to establish itself as an appealing shopping and entertainment destination for both locals and tourists in Danang. Its broader goal is to contribute to the overall economic growth of Vietnam.
