The Phu Tho circus and multi-purpose performing center complex project, valued at nearly VND1.4 trillion (US$57.1 million), located in District 11, Ho Chi Minh City, has started to take form almost a year after its commencement.
Construction of the Phu Tho circus and multi-purpose performing center complex project was initiated by authorities in Ho Chi Minh City in late April of the previous year.
The project was designed to include two basement levels, a 12-story circus and multi-purpose performance area, and a two-story administrative, service, and restaurant facility.
Upon its completion, the 12-story circus and multi-purpose performance area will feature training and rehearsal spaces, a 2,000-seat theater, and facilities for circus animal housing and training, among others.
It is one of the city’s 50 flagship projects commemorating the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s reunification on April 30, 1975.
In 2023, the city allocated VND290 billion ($11.8 million) to the project, with nearly VND180 billion ($7.3 million) already disbursed. This year, an additional budget of over VND558 billion ($22.8 million) will be invested in the project.
