Bamboo Airways Halts Multiple Domestic Flights to Phu Quoc and Da Lat

Low-cost carrier Bamboo Airways has recently put a halt to several domestic flights, including those to key tourist destinations such as Phu Quoc and Da Lat, starting this month. The airline discontinued its service between Da Nang and the Central Highlands city of Da Lat as of Tuesday, according to a statement on its Facebook page, citing the need to “ensure resources and prioritize operational efficiency” as the reason for the suspension.

Additionally, the airline’s Hanoi-Phu Quoc route was put on hold from Tuesday, following the suspension of the HCMC-Phu Quoc service three weeks prior. Notably, Bamboo Airways, being the sole operator of the Can Tho-Phu Quoc route, also ceased this service last month.

In the previous month, the airline had also stopped various international routes to destinations in Asia and Europe. At present, Bamboo Airways continues to run a network of 32 domestic routes, which includes connections from Hanoi and HCMC to Con Dao, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, and Hue.

In the midst of significant organizational changes, Bamboo Airways appointed Luong Hoai Nam, a former executive of Pacific Airlines and Air Mekong, as its new CEO last month. The airline has been experiencing substantial shifts in its leadership since its chairman, Trinh Van Quyet, was detained in March of the previous year on charges of stock market manipulation and fraud.
