A glimpse into the design of Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road No.3

Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road No.3, the largest traffic project in southern Vietnam, is set to begin construction this month. The road will span 90 km and cost over VND75.3 trillion (US$3.2 billion), crossing Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Long An provinces.
The first phase of the road will cover 76 km and have four lanes, with each locality responsible for clearing and building the section in their territory. An overpass will connect the road to the HCMC – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway, and the road’s biggest bridge will cost VND1.8 trillion and be 2.6 km long and 19.5 m wide.
The first phase of the road is expected to be completed in 2026 and will boost the socio-economic development of the southern region.
