According to an official, Vietnam is ranked among the top countries with illegal internet exploitation

Vietnam is one of the top countries worldwide for illegal internet exploitation, with Vietnamese users accounting for 55 out of every 100 coins made from illegal acts on YouTube, according to Nguyen Thanh Lam, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications.
Violations include copyright infringement and the selling of pornographic content. Platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook, as well as advertisers, are responsible for not managing content and users.
To address the issue, a “white list” of verified channels allowed to advertise is in demand, along with a black list of banned channels. Authorities plan to cooperate with platforms to remove channels with violations and will inspect TikTok’s activities in the country, focusing on content distribution, taxation, e-commerce, and advertisements.
