Cheap Mekong Delta mangoes flood HCMC

🚜 Mekong Delta mangoes are flooding Ho Chi Minh City with prices at half of last year thanks to a plentiful harvest.

🛒#Fruit vendors in HCMC have seen a 60% surge in mango supply from Dong Thap Province. Due to the spike insangos now sell for VND35,000-60,000 ($1.49-2.56) each.

📉 The rise in supply has brought the price down to around VND25,000-30,000 wholesale. Major retail chains, such as GO! And Tops Market are also selling mangoes at a discount of 20-35%.

🏪 Nguyen Thi Bich Van, CEO of Central Retail in Vietnam, said that her supermarkets had around 200 tons of the fruit available, the highest ever.
