Grid connected seven renewable power plants

Recently, seven renewable power plants with a combined capacity of 430.2 megawatts have been connected to the national grid in Vietnam. These plants are among 46 projects that have agreed to sell power to Vietnam Electricity (EVN) at a temporary price rate until the government considers an official rate.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade and EVN have been pushing for the connection of these plants due to fears of a power shortage in the summer as water levels in reservoirs decrease. However, many renewable energy plants are still awaiting connection to the grid since the government ended its incentive buying price, and their developers are in the process of negotiating new rates with the government.
