President Biden Departs Hanoi

U.S. President Joe Biden and his delegation departed from Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport on Monday afternoon, concluding their 24-hour visit to Vietnam.
At approximately 3:15 p.m. local time, following a 10-minute tribute to the late Senator John McCain at a monument near Truc Bach Lake, Biden and his delegation bid farewell to Hanoi and concluded their Vietnam visit. Biden’s visit to Vietnam commenced on Sunday afternoon, encompassing a range of engagements. Notably, he held a meeting with General Party Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, during which the leaders announced the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the U.S.
This visit marks Biden as the fifth U.S. president to visit Vietnam since the normalization of relations between the two countries in 1995.
