Passengers of Vietnam Airlines to Access Internet on Flights to US and Europe

Vietnam Airlines, the national flag carrier, is set to introduce onboard Internet access for passengers starting from 2025 on select international flights to the U.S. and Europe, as well as on certain domestic routes.

The rollout of this service will extend to all aircraft and flights by 2026.

To facilitate this initiative, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group will collaborate with Vietnam Airlines to develop a comprehensive plan, handle necessary procedures, install hardware and software, and provide ongoing support for operations.

The anticipated speed of the in-flight internet network offered by the carrier is up to 60 Mbps.

Currently, there are over 1,000 commercial aircraft worldwide equipped with In-Flight Connectivity (IFC), with expectations for this number to surpass 24,000 by 2035.
