Quang Ninh, a northern coastal province, anticipates the addition of seven new foreign direct investment (FDI) projects from the US, China, and Taiwan in March.
The province sets a target of attracting $3 billion in FDI this year.
According to Chairman Cao Tuong Huy of the provincial People’s Committee, Quang Ninh prioritizes attracting investment from multinational conglomerates and focuses on key sectors.
The official emphasized the province’s commitment to safeguarding the legitimate rights of investors and businesses, ensuring a balance of interests among the State, investors, employees, and local residents.
Quang Ninh has already secured eight FDI projects worth $478 million so far this year, ranking second in FDI attraction nationwide. Notably, the project by Gokin Solar from Hong Kong (China) to construct a photovoltaic cell technology complex boasts the highest capital investment at $274.8 million.
With nearly 200 foreign-invested businesses from 20 countries and territories, Quang Ninh has attracted a total capital of nearly $14 billion.
