VINFAST, the Vietnamese automotive manufacturer, unveiled the prototype of its inaugural electric pickup truck at a tech event in the U.S on Wednesday morning.
Developed through a collaboration of 8,000 hours between VinFast and Australia’s design firm Gomotiv Design Studio, the truck features an extendable bed, expanding from 5 to 8 feet automatically when the rear seats are folded down.
Tran Mai Hoa, Deputy CEO of Sales and Marketing at VinFast Global, expressed, “The car exemplifies our ambition to enter the dynamic and thriving electric pickup truck market.”
The timeline for the commencement of pickup sales by the company remains uncertain.
Furthermore, the company has expanded its global market presence by initiating the sale of its four-seater mini-eSUV VF 3, initially intended for the Vietnamese market. The VF 3, as a mini-eSUV, offers a well-proportioned design, facilitating easy navigation within city environments.
Boasting a driving range of over 125 miles per full charge, the VF 3 prioritizes comfort while ensuring optimal maneuverability, providing drivers with confidence to navigate city streets effortlessly.
