Vietnamese government requests legislative approval for 90-day validity of e-visa

The Vietnamese government is seeking approval from the National Assembly to extend the validity of visitor e-visas from one month to three months.
The proposed amendments would also expand e-visa eligibility to citizens from all countries and territories, and increase the maximum stay for eligible foreign visitors to 45 days.
Additionally, the validity of e-visas would be extended to three months to create favorable conditions for those staying in Vietnam for up to three months. The Ministry of Public Security suggests that the e-visa validity extension aims to enhance Vietnam’s tourism competitiveness and attract more international visitors and investors.
