Vietnam’s Cheapest EV Now at an Even Lower Price

Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, already known as the most affordable electric vehicle (EV) in Vietnam priced at VND239 million (US$9,500), has become even more budget-friendly with a VND15 million price reduction. With the car market currently flooded with generous discounts across the country, the Hongguang Mini EV needed this price cut to attract more customers and stay competitive against other models already on sale. This information was shared by a representative from a car showroom in Thu Duc City.

To enhance its competitiveness, sellers are offering a price reduction of VND10-15 million through discounts or vouchers for the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV. These EVs were launched at the end of June and arrived at dealerships in mid-November. Assembled at the TMT Motors’ factory in Hung Yen, the Hongguang Mini EV received a 50% reduction in registration fees. It has been leading the mini car segment in Vietnam, but it will soon face competition from VinFast’s VF 3, a local carmaker.

In Vietnam, the Hongguang Mini EV is available in two versions: standard (LV1) and advanced (LV2). Both versions offer customizable battery capacity and a range of 120-170 km.
