Every Hanoia lacquer piece undergoes a lengthy crafting process, involving meticulous effort from skilled artisans. From shaping the material to applying the first layer of lacquer, each small product must go through a repetitive process of priming, wet sanding, coloring, polishing… Unique techniques such as eggshell inlay, engraving, hand painting, gold/silver leaf gilding… may be applied based on the specific characteristics of each design.
