Hong Kong eases visa regulations for Vietnam

Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee has announced that Vietnamese tourists and business travelers will now be eligible for multiple-entry visas with a maximum stay of 14 days per entry. This policy change, reported by the South China Morning Post, replaces the previous single-entry policy.

To be eligible for this new policy, Vietnamese visitors must meet one of two criteria: they must have traveled abroad at least three times to a minimum of two different countries within the past three years, or they must have previously worked or trained in Hong Kong within the last two years.

In addition to the visa changes, Chief Executive Lee has also revealed that Hong Kong will be welcoming students and workers from Vietnam, Laos, and Nepal to its eight public universities. This initiative is part of a larger program aimed at attracting talented immigrants to Hong Kong.
