Construction Starts on Hanoi’s National Exhibition Center, Set to Become One of the World’s Top 10 Largest

On Friday, Vietnam’s conglomerate Vingroup JSC officially broke ground on the national exhibition center project in Dong Anh District, Hanoi, with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in attendance.

The new facility, spanning approximately 90 hectares, is set to rank among the top 10 largest exhibition centers globally.

The upcoming exhibition center will replace the current facility in Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Hanoi’s Chairman Tran Sy Thanh assured that the city will support Vingroup throughout the project and ensure it operates as planned.

The city will also enhance traffic infrastructure connecting to the new center to maximize its utilization and contribute to Hanoi’s socio-economic growth.

Vingroup Vice-Chairman and CEO Nguyen Viet Quang highlighted that the center will host major international trade events and exhibitions, aiming to stimulate a dynamic “Expo” economy similar to those in the UAE, Germany, and Italy.

The center will be conveniently located just 15 minutes from Noi Bai International Airport.

The facility will feature nine distinct areas, each over 10,000 square meters, and a lobby of approximately 7,000 square meters.

Additionally, the project includes four outdoor exhibition areas totaling 20.6 hectares, making it the second largest globally and the largest in Asia.
