The 6th Denimsandjeans International Exhibition on denim, non-denim, knitwear, and sportswear supply chain will be held on June 26-27, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City. This year’s theme, “Room to Roam,” focuses on the blend of baggy fit and loose denim trends, highlighting innovation and sustainable development.
The event will feature major denim manufacturers from Vietnam and over ten countries, showcasing significant production innovations. Key speakers include David Tring discussing “Jeaneration Z – Denim Trends in America,” and Yawer Ali Shah presenting on biochemically modified natural indigo. There will also be a talk by Ms. Tinh and Mitchell Vassi on “Chàmpions of Indigo – The Future is in the Past.”
A panel on “Weaving a Future: Connecting the Denim Industry and Education” will address the need for skilled denim professionals in Vietnam, featuring experts like Ms. Corinna from RMIT University and a representative from MGF Group. Mr. Yuzi Honzawa will speak on “3 Fs of Leading Japanese Denim Brands” and introduce a Selvedge Denim Corner.
The exhibition continues the “DENIM BAZAAR” concept, allowing Vietnamese fashion brands to showcase innovative denim items, including recycled denim. Attendees can explore high-quality products and gain insights into Vietnam’s denim supply services, which export over 65-70 million pieces annually. The exhibition aims to emphasize Vietnam’s strong sustainable credentials and growing role in the global denim industry.
